Chain shackles have a “D” shape design and are also known as D-shackles or Dee shackles. A D-shackle is narrower than a bow or anchor shackle and is designed to take high loads primarily in-line. Side and racking loads may twist or bend a chain shackle. The screw pin allows for easy attachment and detachment with a hole in the pin for securement.
